The Founder
Wild Made wasn't born overnight.
I'm Gretchen Julius-Whitehead, founder and artistic director of Wild Made, and I design every piece myself. I took my first jewelry class at the Toledo Museum of Art as a child, earned my BFA in Jewelry and Light Metals at the Rhode Island School of Design, trained as a goldsmith at Reinstein Ross in New York, and spent over 25 years designing, from my own New York line carried at Barneys to houses like Ralph Lauren. In December 2024, I took the leap and made Wild Made. These are talismans, made to be lived in, passed down, held onto.
